Training
Clinics:
The training
clinic provides an opportunity to
help you achieve a more physically
active lifestyle. The 11-week series
is designed for individuals who have
inactive lifestyles or those who
want to increase their
endurance. These clinics are for
walkers, beginners, established
runners and everyone in between.
Clinics meet weekly and
include presentations,
health tips and training
schedules to meet
individual
goals. Heart risk factor
screening will be
available on May 10 and
July 12.

Minneapolis Heart Institute
Foundation's Women on the Move!
Women in
the Twin Cities are invited to lower
their risk of heart disease, the
number one killer of women, by
participating in Women on the Move,
an 8-week walk/run training program
in Minneapolis.
The
Minneapolis Heart Institute
Foundation's (MHIF) 10th annual
Women on the Move program is
designed to raise awareness of your
personal cardiovascular disease
risks - offering weekly physical
activity sessions and educational
information on heart healthy
lifestyles. Participants will also
benefit from lifestyle coaching and
group support.

be active and meet other women who
are on the move!

The cost
of the program is $40.00 per

Heart of Summer 5K and an In

Moms
on the Run
5K/10K Training Program

Dates and Times will vary by
location
About
the Program:
Classes offer interval training with
a focus on cardiovascular fitness
and fat-burning. A gradual
progression in the beginner training
program makes it great for moving
from walking to running, and a speed
interval program for intermediates
helps them to improve their speed.
The 10K option begins in June and
requires participants to be able to
already jog 2 miles by the start
date. Class includes weekly
nutrition challenges and
encouragement for lifestyle
changes.
